As we all know Joaquin Phoenix takes his spin on the Joker in the brand new DC Comics film. This movie shows how a comedic man spirals into insanity because of being disregarded by society and then becomes the criminal mastermind we all know. People were excited to see yet another take on the Joker and were surprised to see a fresh new style of character. No one really batted an eye on how dark this movie was going to be until the media speculated that this movie was influencing mass shooting and violence. This is a fictional character in a made up world and it shouldn't be blamed for real world things that are happening in this day in age. Because of all the headlines saying that The Joker could create copycat killers parents are scared to take their children to see this R-rated movie. Some movies are not meant for kids people! A theater in New York City had extra security on opening night in the cause of all this nonsense on how killers could me made by seeing this movie. Some theaters went as far as pat downs and metal detectors. When will we live in a world where this does not have to happen and we could all go to the movies with no worries and fears. On that note go see this movie, it had a great story and Oscar winning acting.
